Walking in the drops of rain from mine own eyes
A history of mistakes surround and consume me

Trying desperately to remember our loving days and nights
Those days were of love, joy, with happiness flowing free
But the the Day with the doctors came
I'm still in a daze, of scans, pills, and horrid pain
Never did I think that this sunset would come before the sun had reached it's high
Clinging to pictures of you in this eclipse, seeing you in shadows
But your death has rocked me, These feelings lead me to the gallows
Sudden tears fall, and surround me with each step, each moment that passes
Death is such a shadow that darkens in every way, with every day
My soul is screaming Dear Love! with sudden tears, that forever last


Through The Sands


I said good-bye, and left my life known behind
To travel places unknown, hoping to ease my mind
With sandals on my feet, hope carrying me along
For painful creatures had entered my heart, mind and soul in throngs
Only these words echoed in my heart and mind in the desert sands:

"When Allah loves one of his followers,
He leads them to Inspiration"

So with these words I made the journey from child to man
With each strange person I met, we touched hearts
With each little one's smile, my soul was retrieved
Oh! How I united myself with them, from pieces flown apart
From my Babylon, I traveled to my Damascus
Each struggle has a purpose on that narrow road of life we travel
And with each heart we touch, has the power to resurrect Us
And though so far away from home I marvel
How in the sands, inspiration came to me, and to you I trust
