A letter to Ru

Well Ruwanka, I'm a bleeding heart liberal, a buddhist but i find it interesting about stem cell reasearch and abortion. I think the limit is when do you feel pain? When do you experience thought...I was drunk during my early development so my first memory is from grade one but I'm sure i was crying the moment I was born...Who doesn't? But when did I first cry...that is the question that I want medical science to answer...I don't think abortion should be done after that point...but I really think if I'm just a spinal cord, or if I am the result of incest then maybe the woman should have some rights. I think we should forget about California and maybe think of the third world...The question i ask is sometimes being an unwanted child is worse than being dead. I can tell you I have contemplated my death as a child and I don't think it's a happy experience. Sorry about that Ramble but I just watched a movie called "The Day My God Died" about the child slavery and brothels in India and all I could think was it must be so sad to have had faith and lost it in such a tragic way. As to the riddle you asked about...Nothing....Nothing is greater than God, Nothing is more evil than Satan, The rich need nothing, the poor have nothing, and if you eat nothing you will surely die...But as Manju said "Arjuna and Nisa have lost their minds" they are going to school on a Saturday...That is why Nisa stopped walking....I hope to not have angered you...It is not that I do not value life...It is that we do not value the life of those who are already here...It is by following a path of kindness and compassion and allowing others to choose their path without judgement that we can avoid the mistakes of the past...God be with you

by John Lennon

Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today

Imagine there's no countries,
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope some day you'll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope some day you'll join us
And the world will live as one
