The noble path is what we walk, but on any journey
do we not first tell those we love where we are going
first? Do we not ask their advice on what way is best
to travel? Is it not courtesy to walk with strangers
who travel the same road and stupid to throw rocks at
those who don't. And on this journey we learn that these
strangers are our best friends. And that the friends
were not all buddhist...but christian and muslim and hindu.
And that although we couldn't understand the sounds from
each other's voices at first, it was evident that those on
the path spoke the language of love. And when we reach our
destination, whether it exists is still a mystery to me, but
I think we will at least have fond memories of the journey.
Because it was unespected that we would reach this destination...
but there is some kind of beauty in the unexpected and something
almost boring about being all-knowing...and with it the true joy
of humanity
OH yes Happy Birthday to Martine on her 24th
For her I think of this song for her soul amazes me:
I don't want another pretty face
I don't want just anyone to hold
I don't want my love to go to waste
I want you and your beautiful soul
I know that you are something special
To you I'd be always faithful
I want to be what you always needed
Then I hope you'll see the heart in me
I don't want another pretty face
I don't want just anyone to hold
I don't want my love to go to waste
I want you and your beautiful soul
You're the one I want to chase
You're the one I want to hold
I won't let another minute go to waste
I want you and your beautiful soul
You might need time to think it over
But I'm just fine moving forward
I'll ease your mind
If you give me the chance
I will never make you cry
C'mon let's try
Am I crazy for wanting you?
Maybe do you think you could want me too?
I don't wanna waste your time
Do you see things the way I do?
I just wanna know if you feel it too
There is nothing left to hide
